Three members of the Kansas based Westboro Baptist Church attempted to spread their vile and hateful message across Chicago and targeted the Center on Halsted.

More than 100 people gathered at the Center on Halsted to make signs and join forces.  The intent of the Counter Protest was to block the message that the church is attempting to spread.  Many people felt that the church has a right to spread their message, the same way that we have the right to spread our message about the disgust of the passage of Prop 8 in California only they couldn't do it "on our front doorstep."

Check HERE for more photos of the event and videos will be forthcoming.
