I hope you bought a new winter coat already, because inventories are sure to go quick now that those warm days are definitely behind us.  Make sure that you're bundled up tight when you head out this weekend. Especially if you're heading down to the Protest to the passing of Proposition 8 in California Saturday at Federal Plaza (Dearborn & Adams) at 12:30!

Campus Pride Nation’s first conference for LGBT fraternity brothers and sorority sisters, Out and Greek kicks off today at DePaul University and runs through Sunday.

The chicago Public Library - Budlong Woods Branch - 5630 N Lincoln is holding a Giant Book Sale today from 9:30AM-4:30PM. Be there early to get a chance to rifle through all of the books and get the best selection.

If you're heading out of town this weekend, or more specifically - if you're heading to Indianapolis, catch the Indianpolis LGBT Film Festival this weekend.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Reeling 27, Chicago's very own Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival is in full swing, check the site for a full listing of movies showing today. Don't miss a chance to meet some of the stars of the program 3Way tonight at the special event at Evil Olive.

Today is the last day for the Giant Book Sale at The chicago Public Library - Budlong Woods Branch - 5630 N Lincoln from 9:30AM-4:30PM.

Put on your comfortable shoes and join your Queer Brothers and Sisters in a Protest to the passing of Proposition 8 in California. Grab your friends and head down to Federal Plaza (Dearborn and Adams) from 12:30 to 3:30 today. This is a nationwide event happening in cities across the country. Let the country know that we will not standby and let this happen. I'll be there, look for me.

Sappho's Salon, the popular monthly lesbian "salon night" takes place at Andersonville's Women & Children First Book Store - 5233 N Clark. This month they present queer Latina spoken word collective La Dulce Palabra. 7:30PM tickets are $7-10 and include food and wine.

The Leather Archives and Museum - 6418 N Greenview Ave - invites you to join a very special Fireside Chat with Chuck Renslow at 7PM tonight. This program, a second in the series, seeks to capture the memories and experiences of our community leaders, while giving us the opportunity to ask them our questions.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16

Reeling 27, Chicago's very own Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival closes tonight with a showing of Eleven Minutes - a film that follows Jay McCarroll winner of the first Project Runway. Check the site for full details.

Looking for a new way to get your Sunday morning started? Classical WFMT 98.7 broadcasts live from the new Morse Theater - 1328 W Morse Ave. Millennium Chamber Players performs at 11AM, tickets are $10
