Rescue operations are underway to evacuate a hiker who fell 150 ft on Mt. Ellinor on Sunday. The man has sustained injuries including possible head trauma and will be airlifted to a hospital once rescuers reach him.  His identity was not made available.

This is the second person to fall in eight days on the west side of Washington, the first being the fatal fall of a hiker on Rattlesnake Ridge on Saturday, the 31st of May.

Mt. Ellinor is located on the southern edge of Olympic National Park and is one of the most popular hikes in the park.
