Rattlesnake Ridge near North Bend, WA

A hiker was killed in a fall from Rattlesnake Ridge on Saturday. The man and his female companion clambered to a viewpoint when the man lost his footing. He then fell more than 100 ft. The man's identity is currently unavailable. The woman was unhurt.

According to other hikers on the ridge on Saturday, the trail and viewpoint were extremely crowded due to the beautiful weather. Rattlesnake ridge is one of the most popular hikes in the Seattle area due to its mild grade and proximity to the city.
