Just because the aspens are starting to turn yellow, it doesn't mean you can't get your fix of green.
The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association will host the Sustainable Living Fair on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Center -- 720 East Vine Drive in Fort Collins, Colorado -- to help promote its mission of educating people and communities in the Rocky Mountain region to make healthy sustainable choices.
Alternative energy, recycling, global warming and rainforest conservation will be themed throughout activities, which include keynote speakers, an interactive discussion with author Rahima Baldwin Dancy, exhibitors, workshops, crafts and activies for youth and adults, a scavenger hunt for tweens, a bike clinic for kids, and much more.
And for the youngest and young at heart greenies: face painting, bubble blowing, play-dough making, bean bag tossing, sand box digging, chalk tabling, coloring and hula hooping.
The Sustainable Living Fair is $5 (kids 12 and under enjoy for free) and runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Last year, more than 9,500 people attended the fair -- will you be one of them this year?
