Now is the time to enroll in IPL's CoolCents program.

During the summer months, IPL will minimally reduce the duration of time your air conditioning unit cycles during prime consumption hours. In exchange for giving IPL this priviledge, you'll be given a $5 credit on each of your summer month bills, totalling $20. I've been told that the reduction is so slight that the temperature difference is virtually unnoticeable, so I decided to sign up for the program this morning. Read the details and enroll at IPLpower.com. 

While you are on IPL's site, read about the other green options they offer. The Green Power option is my favorite. (Read my previous article.) But I also set up our IPL account for automatic withdrawal and E-Bill statements, eliminating the paper trail between my house and their office.

Sign up for E-Bill by May 31 and CheckFree will make a donation to Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for tree planting in our community. Be sure to have a previous bill handy to reference your account information when creating your online account. It's 5 minutes well invested.
