By now, it's old news that the Warriors are having a tough year _ on and off the court.
An imbalanced roster and injuries have teamed up to put the hurt on the Warriors in 2008-09. And without getting into it, the front office hasn't had a banner year, either.
Team president Robert Rowell said recently, however, that he believes the Warriors are closer to being a good team than going the other way.
Scoff if you want. After all, you're a Warriors fan, and you've earned that right. It's also fair to question, doubt and challenge.
The reality of the situation, though, is that Rowell is right. The Warriors aren't that far away from having a little something here.
But it's not a matter of how close the Warriors are, it's a matter of whether they can realistically get there or not.
