Some interesting stuff going on in the Lakers' 114-106 win over the Warriors tonight ... such as Anthony Randolph's extended cameo, Marco Belinelli's solid defensive effort on Kobe Bryant and Jamal Crawford's continued inconsistency.
There was some news off the court, too,
Apparently, it was Sidney Moncrief's last game as a Warriors assistant coach.
I don't have all the details, but Moncrief was saying plenty of good-byes at Oracle Arena before tip-off against the Lakers. My understanding is that he is taking a coaching job in China, but that's really all I know.
Moncrief was hired last season as a free-throw shooting coach and was promoted to assistant coach in the offseason. At that point he went from sitting behind the bench to sitting in the first row.
A Warriors spokesman said he had no information on the matter.
Only two weeks ago, Warriors head coach Don Nelson said he was handing the defensive responsibilities of the team over to Keith Smart and Moncrief. Apparently, it's all going to be on Smart now.
