During the course of the season, Warriors coach Don Nelson has been criticized for not playing rookie Anthony Randolph and second-year forward Brandan Wright enough.
Instead, Nelson has sometimes gone with lesser-known players while Randolph and Wright have lingered on the bench.
Later this week, we're going to find out how much Nelson really likes some of those players.
On Jan. 10, all contracts become guaranteed for the reminder of the season, and that is a very significant date for four Warriors: DeMarcus Nelson, C.J. Watson, Anthony Morrow and Rob Kurz.
All those players have non-guaranteed contracts in one shape or form.
It is possible that those decisions could start being made today because today is the first day 10-day contracts can be signed. If the Warriors are interested in signing a player to a 10-day contract, they'd first have to waive someone from their 15-man roster.
The Warriors don't have to make a move if they don't want to. But if they want some roster flexibility and/or the desire to bring in another player or two from the D-League to check out, then they'll have to do something.
On the surface, Watson would appear to be the safest. Among the four, Watson is the most entrenched in the Warriors' rotation, followed by Kurz, Morrow and then Nelson.
