RICH WROTE: Al Harrington, Mickael Pietrus and Richard Hendrix are all starting for their new teams. They are just loving their post Don Nelson life. So you can anticipate Marcus Williams will get picked up by somebody, and he will probably do well (word is geting around you can steal good players from the Warriors). I bet Williams isn't worried about getting released at all. It will be like getting out of jail. Somebody will give him a chance to show what he can do.

MS: I’m anxious to see what happens when and if Williams goes to another team. Clearly he’ll be better anywhere else than he was here. But who thought he’d do worse here than in New Jersey?

Bottom line is there’s no way Williams can be this bad. Then again, I don’t see him ever making a difference at this point, either. And if Williams does, then shame on Lawrence Frank and Don Nelson.

A’S-NINERS IN 2009 WROTE: Cutting Marcus Williams for somebody else who will just wear a suit during games is pointless. Keep him to the trade deadline, his $1.2M salary could come in handy.  … We don’t need anymore D-Leaguers!!!

MS: Disagree with you guys there. I’m a big D-League guy and there are players down there if you sniff around long and hard enough. Maybe not stars, but players.

If the Warriors were to waive Williams _ or any player, for that matter _ then why not fill his roster spot with somebody, anybody?

If nothing else, bring someone in to practice with the team, knowing full well he might be auditioning for a summer-league spot next year.

Heck, there are worse places to be. Think: DeMarcus Nelson, Anthony Morrow, Kelenna Azubuike, C.J. Watson, Rob Kurz.

RS WROTE: Matt, instead of throwing the kid under the bus (and doing Nelson and Rowell's bidding) why don't you cut him a break. He has a bad coach and a bad organization trying to send the kid out to pasture because he was Mullin's pick.

Because you are in employee of the Warriors, I respectfully ask that you resign your post with the Examiner. This kid doesn't deserve "media" types like you who are on the Warriors payroll.

And, yes, I know you don't have the guts or courage to respond to this email. You and Rowell are two peas in a pod.

MS: I’ll let the rest of it go and simply address what’s pertinent. I don’t work for the Warriors and don’t get paid by them, either.
