Updated:
The Warriors released a statement on Thursday regarding Monta Ellis, who injured his left ankle approximately a month ago.
We continue to gather all of the pertinent facts and information in regards to the Monta Ellis situation.
We have scheduled a meeting with Monta's representatives to take place within the next seven to 10 days, and upon conclusion we will have a public announcement regarding our decision.
Until then, it would not be fair or prudent to publicly address this matter.
Pending the physician's approval, Monta is scheduled to arrive in the Bay Area in the next few days, when he will join his teammates and continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of the Warriors' athletic training and medical staff

Apparently, the San Francisco Chronicle has solved the mystery.
Janny Hu is reporting that Monta Ellis suffered his left ankle injury earlier this summer while riding a moped.
OK ... so, now what?
Sure, we can talk specifically about how Ellis hurt himself. But we're still no further along than we were two or three weeks ago and we're no closer to a resolution.
We still don't know when or if Ellis will return this season.
We don't even know if Ellis will ever return. Or that if he does, he'll be close to the same player.
We still haven't heard a word from Ellis, and we still haven't heard a word from the Warriors.
We don't know if Ellis will be fined, suspended or be given a slap on the wrist for his actions.
Couldn't help but chuckle when I read this line from the story, saying that Ellis suffered the injury "in what one of the sources labeled as a 'low-speed' accident."
Of course it was low-speed.
You don't think a source close to Ellis is going to say it was a "high-speed" accident, do you?
