Things can change in a hurry.
DeMarcus Nelson, who was the Warriors' starting point guard on opening night, has been assigned to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League.
Richard Hendrix, the Warriors' second-round pick, was also sent to Bakersfield.
Nelson went undrafted out of Duke, but worked his way to starter over the summer and into training camp, aided by Baron Davis' departure and Monta Ellis' injury.
Those moves would appear to be very good news for Marcus Williams and Rob Kurz.
Williams now has one less point guard to contend with for minutes, and Kurz is likely to be a mainstay on the active roster.
It's the first time the Warriors have had two players in the D-League at the same time.
