Don Nelson: Trying to work magic in 2008-09
For the Warriors to make the playoffs in 2008-09, coach Don Nelson is going to have to have one of the greatest coaching years of his NBA life.
That's what I wrote in the San Francisco Examiner.
And I believe it.
The Warriors are without a star player and are young. On top of it, they have point guard issues.
On paper, it's tough to see how the Warriors are one of the eight best teams in the Western Conference.
That is, unless Nelson proves to be the great equalizer.
