
The other day, while the Warriors were in China, I suggested that coach Don Nelson use Andris Biedrins in a point-center role.
There were some who met that suggestion with derision.
When the Warriors got back from China, I pushed the issue a little bit with Nelson.
When you talk basketball with Nelson, you sometimes need to check your sensitivity at the door.
He can be a little bit brutal -- with a smile, of course -- if he's not buying what you're saying.
So, when I starting talking to Nelson about Biedrins taking more of a role at the top of the floor and possibly playing some point guard, I was ready for the condescending and correcting.
But it never really came.
