You know the old saying about teams that press don’t like to be pressed?
Well, bloggers don’t like to be blogged about.
That means sometimes you have to do it.
So, here it is: The official Top 10 List of Golden State Warriors blogs/websites:
1. Golden State of Mind
http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/
Probably the most known of the Warriors’ blogs, Golden State of Mind is now part of SB Nation, which appears to be part of a larger blog conglomerate. We’re not sure if that corrupts the true definition of “blog,” but we don’t really care.
And, of course, sites that link to my stuff here at Examiner.com have a subtle edge on this list.
But that edge is nullified when a site hasn’t changed the link from a now-defunct “reporter’s notebook” site to the current one at this URL.
In 2007-08, GSOM was the "go-to guy of Warriors blogs." We'll see how it handles the pressure of that label this season.
Player comparison: Kevin Garnett
2. Warriorsworld
www.Warriorsworld.net
All Warriors’ websites/blogs _ and websites/blogs in general _ must answer to this site’s forum page and its style of forum page. It invites real-time Warriors’ dialogue among, literally, hundreds of fans at the same time.
When it’s good, it’s the best site out there; when it’s bad, it’s like walking into a junior-high locker room.
Player comparison: Ron Artest
3. Fear the Beard
http://www.fearthebeard.org/
I can’t put this site No. 1 even though I want to. The reason: It’s not solely a Warriors site. It’s Golden State Warriors-centric, but it’s got more than that. What more, you ask?
Well, you have to check it out for yourself. For me, Fearthebeard.org is like that player ready to have a breakout season.
Player comparison: Rodney Stuckey

4. Tim Kawakami’s talking points blog
http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/
Many times throughout the season, Kawakami will be a must-read and atop this list.
But off-court issues are his problem.
You see, he writes about other sports. In other words, he has outside interests that are hurting his NBA game.
Player comparisons: Shaquille O’Neal, Baron Davis.
5. Fast break: The Warriors fan blog (Adam Lauridsen)
http://blogs.mercurynews.com/warriors/
Lauridsen is a Bay Area attorney and Warriors fan, and he offers sound and thorough analysis of the team twelve months a year. Read a few posts and you realize he’s a student of the game.
I’d love to see him post more, but he appears to have a day job.
Player comparison: Tim Duncan
