The Warriors announced on Saturday that they have suspended guard Monta Ellis for 30 games for violating terms of his contract.
Ellis injured his left ankle when he reportedly was involved in a moped accident just a month after signing a six-year $66 million contract.
Assuming the Warriors will will not pay Ellis for those 30 games, his financial penalty is just under $3 million, a pro-rated share of his salary.
