Citrus Tea Chicken is a delicious chicken recipe that calls for the tea flavors to be infused into the chicken through an evaporation process with the chicken cooking on a can filled with tea. It is a juicy, succulent chicken recipe that will make your mouth water.

Citrus Tea Chicken
Glaze Ingredients
1 ½ cups of Celestial Seasonings Tangerine Orange Tea
1 cup Red Wine
½ cup Olive Oil
2 tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tbsp. Lime Juice

Ingredients
1 Small Chicken
1 cups of Celestial Seasonings Tangerine Orange Zinger tea
2 Celestial Seasonings Tangerine Orange Zinger teabags
1 Sage Leaf
½ tsp. Sage
½ tsp. Onion Powder
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Garlic
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1 empty, clean soup can

Directions
Start by making the glaze. Brew 2 ½ cups of Celestial Seasonings Tangerine Orange Zinger tea using 2 ½ cups of hot water and two teabags.  Pour 1 ½ cups of tea into a saucepan. Add 1 cup of Red Wine. Let it boil down. Pour in 1/2 cup of Olive Oil. Stir in 2 tbsp of brown sugar. Add 1 tsp of vanilla. Then stir in 1 tbsp of lime juice.
Now we must prepare the chicken. Put remaining 1 cup of Tangerine Orange Zinger tea in a clean, empty soup can. Add one Sage Leaf. Place chicken on the can and place in roaster. Rub ½ tsp. sage, ½ tsp. onion powder, 1 tsp. oregano, 1 tsp. garlic, 1 tsp. salt, and 1 tsp. pepper into the chicken. Bake chicken at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until chicken is at 180 degrees. While baking, glaze chicken with glaze during the last 10 or 15 minutes of the cooking time.  Finish cooking and enjoy.
