Some coffees are made for high-end customers. Others are a marketing experience brought to life. Sunny Acres coffee is one of the products marketed by Smart Price. Its objective is to align themselves to low cost manufactures that will allow them to market their product to $1.00 retail locations. Although they have aligned themselves with many manufactures, when it comes to coffee, Sunny Acres is their product.

Before brewing, we encounter a pre-ground coffee that was ground with a very choppy grind. The coffee, itself, is a light to medium roast. The aroma is an acidic, nutty one.
After brewing, we see the hue is black with just a coating of brown. The aroma is a nutty, flower aroma. It has a light body. The taste is that of a wine. This is not the wine taste that is usually described, but a cheap, wino wine with coffee mixed in. The aftertaste is a reincarnation of the original flavor.
Although many good coffees and tea can be found at inexpensive prices, this is not one of them. This particular product took the need for a specific price point to destroy the quality, taste, and the overall enjoyment. This coffee gives convenience store coffee that has been left on a burner for 12 hours a bad name and is to be avoided at all costs.
Till next time, may your cup warm your heart.
