The Rams made a roster move today signing Sean Walker a wide receiver out of Vanderbilt University.  This is according to Bill Coats over at the Post-Dispatch.   Walker had 36 receptions for 520 yards and three touchdowns in his senior season for the Commodores.  Walker is only listed at 6'0 tall and 178 lbs.   He did run a 4.43 40 at the Vanderbilt Pro Day this spring.

It is a minor move for the Rams who are probably just looking to have some more legs in training camp.  Walker was the leading receiver for a Vanderbilt team that started out the season on fire at 5-0 but faltered to a 7-6 finish.  I thought that maybe the Rams signed Walker because he had some experience returning kicks or punts, but Walker did that very sparingly at Vanderbilt.  I am not sure why the Rams signed Walker, outside of someone at Rams Park saw something special in him. For Walker this is a huge deal because if you are a wide receiver with a pulse and can manage to find your way into the Rams training camp you have as good of a shot of making a roster here than anywhere else in the league at wide receiver.
