For many, the month of November immediately brings to mind cooler weather, Thanksgiving, and the onset of Christmas shopping, but for ski enthusiasts it signifies the opening of ski resorts across the country. Many of these resorts will open around Thanksgiving Day. For skiers and snowboarders who have waited all summer for the sight of fresh snow, it couldn't be a more appropriate time!

If you're a ski bum or powder hound, you may already have your favorite destination. If you're looking to try out some new runs, and a new location here are a few suggestions categorized by what's most important to you...
