Today marked the opening of the Whole Foods Market in the Interbay Urban Center between Queen Anne and Magnolia.

I happened to be at the “housewarming” party the day before, and while admiring the partially stocked showcases of food, my gaze continually returning to the olive display. Colorful and captivating!

For those looking for a bite to go, take note that there’s a sandwich bar, burrito bar, and pizzeria station. The Allegro Espresso Bar opens early each day for those seeking a morning start. And should you be desperate for Chinese food, Magic Dragon is open across the parking lot, as is Subway. But if you’re shopping at Whole Foods, shouldn’t you be cooking something better?

For more info: The new Whole Foods Market is at 2001 15th Avenue West and 206-352-5440.
