Ghouls, goblins, and bands, oh my!  Musicians and celebrities provide entertainment at Witchapalooza this Saturday and Sunday at Cal Expo in Sacramento, Calif.

Witchapalooza is a Halloween-themed fair featuring rides, costumes, characters, games and nearly 300 vendors. 

Fair-goers are encouraged to wear a costume, and there will be costume contests for all ages each day. Costumes must be homemade and contestants must register for the contests from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Saturday

Pop music singer-songwriter Molly Jensen headlines the music lineup on Saturday at 7 p.m.  Metal/thrash local band Ash Black performs at 12 p.m. El Dorado Hills-based cover band PosterChild performs at 1 p.m.  The Remus Lupis from Los Angeles brings their Harry Potter-themed indie music at 6 p.m. Additionally, paranormal fiction writer Eva Gorden will present a lecture at 4 p.m.

Sunday

Famed actor and voiceover master Malcolm McDowell whose career spans from Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange (Alex) to NBC's Heroes (Linderman) appears Sunday along with the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kristy Swanson. Local all girl group Adhara performs at 12 p.m., and local alternative rockers Focii performs at 7 p.m.

Witchapalooza runs Oct. 10th and 11th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cal Expo (1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento). Admission is $5 and children 12 years old and younger are free. Parking at Cal Expo is $10 per car.
