Chief U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker today rejected an attempt by anti-gay-marriage forces to quash the pending federal lawsuit challenging California's Proposition 8. He determined the case should go forward to be heard in a full trial, where key legal, factual, and Constitutional issues can be fully examined. The trial has been scheduled for January.
