The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning from now until 10pm tonight for the Twin Cities.  If you are planning on staying in this evening, stop at a local video store and check out one of these documentaries:

10.  Matthew Barney: No Restraint (2006) - Artist Matthew Barney journeys to Japan with collaborator Bjork to create  a "narrative sculpture" of two beings falling in love.

7.  The Corporation (2004)

6.  Rivers and Tides (2003)  - This film follows the renowned sculptor, Andy Goldsworthy, as he creates his works within the landscape.  Winner of the Golden Gate Award Grand Prize for Best Documentary in the San Fancisco Film Festival in 2003.

5.  Dark Days (2000) - Filmmaker Marc Singer follows people living in an abandoned section of the New York subway.  Film features music by DJ Shadow.

4.  Long Way Round (2004) - Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman circle the world on their motorcycles.

1.  The Devil Came on Horseback (2007) - At the age of 27, Brian Steidle took an assignment with the military to monitor the African Union.  His bleak photographs tell a horrifying story about the Darfur region of Sudan.
