There are a large number of arts events happening in Minneapolis on this Father's Day weekend.  Check out these great events and openings around the city.

Wang Yanshu: Dreamland, Burnet Art Gallery in Chambers Hotel - Opening 6-9pm - Free - 901 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis - www.chambersminneapolis.com - Exhibition runs through August 9th, 2009

A Constant Line, MAEP Galleries in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts - Opening 6-9pm - Free - Work by Minnesota artists Cheryle Melander and Donald R. Myhre.  Their sculptures explore memory and the way we contextualize past and present.  Also, come to the Artist Talk on Thursday, June 25th and Critics' Trialogue on Thursday, July 9th with critic Christina Schmid. The Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) is an artist-directed exhibition program with a prominent gallery located in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. -  2400 3rd Avenue S, Minneapolis - MAEP - Exhibition runs through August 9th, 2009.

Rock the Garden, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center - 4:30pm-10pm (gates open at 3pm) - SOLD OUT - Hopefully you have tickets for this outdoor festival since it has been sold out for weeks.  This year's Rock the Garden features musical delights from Solid Gold, Yeasayer, Calexico, and The Decemberists.  If you missed out on this year's tickets, be sure to become a member of Minnesota Public Radio or the Walker Art Center to get priority ticketing to the event next year.  Ride your bike, carpool, or use public transportation.  Parking gets hectic. - 1750 Hennepin Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN  - www.walkerart.org - www.thecurrent.org
