It was just announced today that Taylor Swift will be the first person to perform at the 43rd Annual Country Music Awards, held at the Sommet Center November 11th.

CMA Chief Executive Officer, Tammy Genovese, said “Taylor is the perfect choice as the opening act for the 2009 CMA Awards. Her charisma, charm, popularity, and talent will set the stage for an evening you won’t soon forget. We know her fans will want to stay tuned to see what she does next.”

Swift was host of Saturday Night Live just this past Saturday, as well as the musical talent.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be co-hosting the event for the second year in a row.

Tomorrow morning they will be on ABC’s Good Morning America to promote the show.
