Believe it or not, as the all-time great Boomer celebrities zoom into middle-age (does that make them Zoomers?), their kids are giving them something to really celebrate – grandchildren. Still sexy, still talented, still vibrant, still on the big screen and Broadway, still recording and performing at concerts, still making an international name for themselves, still attracting admirers of all ages, these celebrities are still going strong – and better than ever. Cause-celebre stars are embracing their all-time best starring roles -- as grandparents.

ANSWERS
1. Marian Robinson– Let’s hear it for the official Whitehouse grandmother, mother of First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama's mother-in-law. She helps care for her two granddaughters -- Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.
2. Sir Paul McCartney – Remembered best as our beloved doe-eyed Beatle, and one of the Fab Four, Paul is a devoted father of five and a grandfather. In addition to his success as a Beatle and later in his band, Wings, Paul’s also written a children’s book, High In The Clouds, first published in 2006. His family celebrated his 64th birthday with a special all-family recording of the Beatles’ hit “When I’m 64” as a special present. Awww.
3. Sir Thomas Sean Connery - Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA Award winning Scottish actor and producer, Connery is best known as the first actor to portray 007 Agent, James Bond, starring in seven Bond films. Beyond Bond, Connery was knighted in July 2000, by Queen Elizabeth II of England. In 1999, People Magazine voted Sean Connery “Sexiest Man of the Century.” Grandfather of Dashiell Quinn Connery, born in 1997, I guess that makes him sexiest grandfather of the century!
4. Sir Michael Philip "Mick" Jagger - Knighted in 2003, Jagger says he always loved to sing. Believe it or not, he even sang in the church choir a child. Jagger is a Golden Globe and Grammy Award winning English singer, songwriter and would-be actor, best known for his work as lead vocalist of The Rolling Stones. As they say, “A rolling stone gathers no moss”, and in 2007, Jagger and The Rolling Stones took their Bigger Bang tour on the road, which got them into the current edition of Guinness World Records for the most lucrative music tour. Now in his mid-60s, the Rolling Stones lead rocker is still going strong after more than four decades with the band, with no sign of retiring in site. Jagger has seven children and four grandchildren.
5. Blythe Danner – One of the all-time classiest actresses, it’s no surprise that Danner is the mother of Oscar-winning Gwyneth Paltrow and proud grandmother of 5-year old granddaughter Apple Blythe Alison Martin and grandson Moses, 3., “The role of grandparent is great fun and joy,” Danner told Ladies’ Home Journal. ‘It's a love you can't describe,’ and they were right! It's immense!” she said. “Being a grandparent is bigger than I ever imagined.” Amen.
6. Joan Rivers – Emmy-award winning Comedienne, TV talk show host, movie script writer and director, Broadway performer, cable shopping host, and mother of sassy and brassy Melissa, (we saw both of them recently on Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice), Joan Rivers is a sharp-tongued comedienne who made her mark on late-nite television. Thanks to Johnny Carson, she served as a "permanent guest host" between 1983 and 1986. Somehow, however, when it comes to her grandson, Cooper, she’s mush.
In 2007, Rivers admitted to the London Daily Mail, “I didn’t like being a grandmother when he was an infant. I found him very boring.” Apparently, with age comes wisdom – and fun. Now he’s the light of her life. These days, when Rivers is asked, "Can we talk?" the answer is bound to be a resounding YES, and it’s bound to be about Cooper.
7. Ron Howard – OMG! Can it be? Mayberry’s beloved Opie is a grandfather! Oscar-winning filmmaker, director, and star of "Happy Days" (Richie Cunningham) became a grandfather when his eldest daughter, actress Bryce Dallas Howard, gave birth to her first child, son Theo Gabel, who actually looks like Ron Howard.
8. Goldie Hawn – Best remembered as the “Sock it to me” girl on Laugh In, the sexy celebrity grandmother of two boys, 5-1/2 year old Ryder Russell Robinson, (from her daughter Kate Hudson's marriage to Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson) and to Wilder Brooks Hudson, (from her son Oliver Hudson's marriage to actress Erinn Bartlett) goes by the name “Gogo.” “I love being a grandmother. When I was pregnant I knew the exact right thing to do, having a baby, and I feel exactly the same about being a grandmother,” Goldie Hawn told World Entertainment News Network. Amen to that!
9. Billie Crystal – Nominated 12 times for an Emmy and winner of three of them, Billy Crystal still rocks. He says that the nice thing about being a grandparent is that "you have this new being that you can play with and laugh with, and then you hand her back and go to an early movie." Best known as Meg Ryan's co-star in When Harry Met Sally, his roles in Analyze This, and City Slickers, acclaimed comedian, and star of Saturday Night Live, Crystal’s most endearing roles are as parent and grandparent, of which he says, "It's one of life's last great surprises." While anticipating the arrival of his first grandchild, Ella Ryan, Crystal wrote a bestselling children’s book, I Already Know I Love You, in which he dreams of all the things he will do once his grandchild arrives. This book was followed by Grandpa's Little One. Like Crystal himself -- the man, the actor, the comedian, the father, the husband, the grandfather, these books are heartwarming and humorous (check ‘em out.) When his second grandchild, Helen Eleanor, named for mother, was born, he called her "this amazing, emotional gift. You're given this little gift and you hold her in your arms.” Gotta love him.
10. Dustin Hoffman – Character actor and Academy award winning star of stage and screen, Hoffman’s had many award-winning roles, from Midnight Cowboy, Kramer v Kramer, and The Graduate to Tootsie and Rainman to some pretty “Focker”-ed up roles, yet of all his accolades, none mean more than Dustin Hoffman’s has six children (in all) who have blessed him with two grandchildren so far.
