Now that winter is approaching I have a serious need to knit.  But I want to make something portable so I can bring it with me on travels for work and other adventure-like excursions where projects are a necessity. Thus, I decided I would craft my kitty a little cuddle buddy for when I am absent. You see when my hubs and I are on travel we leave our kitty with my parents, who she loves, and although my parents love her too and spoil her to no end there is no replacement for her mommy. She and I are best buddies. She is my personal stuffed-animal, and gives me kisses and cuddles like no other. I want to make her something soft and sweet that smells like me (ACK, gross) and that she can bring with her to grandma and grandpa's. Now, I know this may sound like I am transferring my feelings onto her, because perhaps she doesn't miss me nearly as much as I miss her… but I truly believe she feels this way… so just work with me.

I have decided to make her a stuffed animal. You see my Mom's house, like my own, has an abundance of homemade blankets perfect for nomadic cat-napping… so I figure she doesn't need a blanket, what she really needs is a toy of her own, straight from her favorite person (me!).  Lion Heart has the most adorable stuffed toy patterns.  When finished,  I plan on stuffing mine with the normal fluffiness plus a shot of cat-nip!

See pattern link below. In order to view the patterns you do have to sign up, but you can browse through them before you do so.  But anyways, it is worth signing up because they send super cute emails every now and again!
