
On Thursday, 6/18, Mary Ellen Iskenderian, President and CEO of Women’s World Banking (a network of microfinance institutions and banks), and Sharon Vosmek, CEO of Astia (a community committed to building women leaders and the funding and growth of high-potential, high-growth, women-led start-ups), will discuss the global impact of women on economic development and recovery - from microfinance to leaders of multimillion dollar companies. They will discuss how investing in women as a business strategy creates a sound social and financial approach to alleviating the current crisis and preventing further problems, and will relate the work of their respective organizations, Women's World Banking and Astia.
