ABC-TV has put together a special on personal finance called "UN-BROKE - What You Need to Know About Money" – and made it especially easy to digest for a younger audience. If your kids still think money grows on trees, give this show a try. ABC bills it as "an unconventional look at the fundamentals of everyday finance with all the facts about credit cards, mortgages, stocks and bonds, investing and 401(k)'s, in a fresh new format combining information and humor."

I've seen clips and it is indeed funny, unconventional and hip, with a great cast including Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, the Jonas Brothers, Cedric the Entertainer, Seth Green, Sesame Workshop’s Oscar the Grouch, the E*Trade Babies and more. It will amuse, entertain and inform, in a way that we finance writers wish we could (if we had a bigger budget). Some highlights:

–The Jonas Brothers teaches screaming teenage girls the mysteries of the stock market
–Cedric the Entertainer talks back to credit cards
–The E*Trade Babies meet Mellody for an online chat from their high chairs
