Coach Andy Reid congratulates winning coach, Wade Phillips  (AP)

The Packers and Giants seem like they're in trouble, the Saints came back again and Tampa Bay looked great in those throw-back unis. Here is the recap:

Atlanta beat Washington 31-17: The Redskins looked good in spurts and then seemed to give up. Michael Turner beame "the burner" again as Ladell Betts reminded us he is still in a Redskins uniform.

Arizona beat Chicago 41-21: The game wasn't as close as the score indicates. Bears scored 14 in the 4th quarter and no one was the least bit scared.  Greg Olson had a career day with 3 scores and Matt Leinart finally got in a game, only to throw an INT and disappear again.

Cincinnati beat Baltimore 17-7: The Bengals smoked the Ravens offense and handed Joe Flacco a QB rating of under 50. Ray Rice was the only bright spot for Baltimore although the defense gave up only 17 points. But on Sunday that was way too many.

Indianapolis beat Houston 20-17: A close call for the Colts but their decimated secondary held serve at home when it counted. The Texans running game was limited as well. Andre Johnson still can't get into the end zone.

Jacksonville beat Kansas City 24-21: KC scared the Jags when they scored twice late in the 4th quarter but Jacksonville was able to hold on. Why do I get the feeling it could have gone either way? With the Jags' offensive talent it shouldn't have been that close.

New England beat Miami 27-17: The Wildcat was de-clawed for a second week in a row but the Patriots' kicker was the hero. New England only saw the end zone twice all day.  Belichick can not be pleased with that.

Tampa Bay beat Green Bay 38-28: Defense was the problem last year and it is again but the O-line and Aaron Rogers better figure out the sack problem too(3 INT's and 6 sacks). The Bucs rookie QB, Josh Freeman had his coming out party with three TD's and Coach Morris tasted the Gatorade.

New Orleans beat Carolina 30-20: The Saints performed their comeback magic for the second time this season by scoring 24 points in the second half. DeAngelo Williams did all his damage early and the New Orleans defense turned up the heat from there.

Seattle beat Detroit 32-20: Matt Stafford threw five picks and after the first quarter Seattle realized it had taken the Lions best shot. The Seahawks outscored the Lions 32-3 the rest of the way. Hasselbeck threw 51 times with only 1 INT and 1 sack. But then again, it was only the Lions.

San Diego beat New York Giants 21-20: Fans in New York can now pay attention to the Giants after the Yanks won it all. And it will be ugly. Philip Rivers hit his favorite target, Vincent Jackson with seconds left on the clock to steal the win at the Meadowlands.

Tennessee beat San Francisco 34-27: The Titans had a balanced attack as Vince Young ran for one TD, Chris Johnson for two and the defense scored on a pick six to put it out of reach late in the 4th. The 49ers thought their defense was their best feature. Guess what...it isn't.

Dallas beat Philadelphia 20-16: Dallas found its mojo when Tony Romo found Miles Austin. TO who? Andy Reid gets second guessed again on clock management while penalties and mistakes killed scoring drives. And the use of Mike Vick looks weak and scattered. Dallas now leads the division.
