Jamie McCourt has been fired from her position as CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to si.com. Its sources claim it happened within the last two days.

I guess when you're in the midst of a marital split in which you are fighting the CEO for control of the team and that person just happens to be your wife, it's not a good idea to have her in the office every day.

On Wednesday night in Philadelphia observers in media did not spy Mrs. McCourt in the stands to watch her team eliminated from the NLCS in five games by the Phillies.

Only Frank McCourt was seated next to Tommy Lasorda unlike the scene in Dodger Stadium during games one and two of the series.

At that time, both spouses were in the owner's box with their own guests, separated by a row or two.

All we need now is a civil suit for wrongful termination by Mrs. McCourt to go along with the divorce petition that is sure to be filed any day.

I guess Ned Colletti knew he'd be siding with Frank when he signed a new contract with the club to remain as its general manager.

This is going to be one hot off-season in Los Angeles.
