For the odd ball event of the day, you can't beat the ending to the Pittsburgh-San Diego game when 6 points came off the board after a replay which changed the fortunes of odds-makers everywhere. 11-10 Steelers

Jets-Pats: Matt Cassel's agent might have been the only happy man on the New England side of the ball after the Pats loss to the Jets on Thursday night. It was Matt's coming out-party, he's a free agent at season's end and the obvious lack of depth in the league at the QB position will make him a ton of dough. Good things happen to those to wait. 37-34 Jets.

Detroit-Carolina: Read Sports Examiner Tom Ferda's take on the post-game comments of embattled Lions coach Rod Marinelli and decide if you believe an intervention might be necessary for the coach. Need I tell you the Lions lost? 31-22 Panthers

Tampa Bay-Minnesota: Jeff Garcia took a punishing hit, got up and finished directing a scoring drive. Ugly game but the Bucs "just seem to find a way to win". 19-13 Tampa Bay

Giants-Ravens: Will the doubters see the light on the Giants' talent after this display of dominance?  Who else is better in the NFC? No one. 30-10 New York

Dolphins-Raiders: The Raiders scored some but don't you wonder if Al Davis' strong defense of his #1 pick of JaMarcus Russell was a mistake? Lane Kiffin might have been right. The Sparano-Parcells experiment in Miami continues to amaze. 17-15 Miami.

Saints-Chiefs: Herm Edwards might have played to win the game but his players weren't up to it. Drew Brees looked good and threw the ball freely but then again he beat the Chiefs, not the Titans. 30-20 New Orleans.

Texans-Colts: Andre Johnson has his second straight quiet game and you've got to figure that his connection with Sage Rosenfels isn't even close to the one he had with starter Matt Schaub. Without him, the Texans will continue to sink. 33-27 Indy

Packers-Bears: Is it a fair question to ask if the Packers got a jolt from the Favre win over the Pats? Looks like it but the Bears are the schizo-team of the league. One week they make you wonder why they don't win all the time. The next week..37-3 Green Bay

Bengals-Eagles: Donovan McNabb said without a trace of sarcasm that he didn't know there were ties in the NFL. Really? well, does he know that now? When a team can't gain enough yardage in an OT period to kick a field goal, they border on Raiders status. 13-13

Falcons-Broncos: Atlanta lost its first home game of the season and Cutler continues to look gritty in win at the Georgia Dome. 24-20 Denver

Cardinals-Seahawks: Cards get a much needed win on the road over the awful Seahawks. Kurt Warner continues his drive towards an MVP season. 26-20 Arizona

49ers-Rams: Remember when a game between these two teams meant something? It still did to Martz-Singletary who won their first game together and in stong fashion. Who knew Frank Gore could run like that? :) 35-16 San Francisco

Titans-Jaguars: Just when you thought they were out..they pulled themselves back in. And for the second straight game, Kerry Collins is forced to use a WR as Chris Johnson and LenDale White can't move the ball down field. 24-14 Tennessee

Redskins-Cowboys: The Boys weren't ready to be buried and they wouldn't let Washington move the ball after the first half. TO continues to disappoint as he drops balls despite his starter being in the game. 14-10 Dallas
