On St. Patrick’s Day you may not feel like trying the old Irish cure for a hangover: burying yourself up to your neck in wet river sand. So instead, try these home remedies:

1. Drink at least 1 or 2 glasses of water before you fall into bed.
2. Sleep.
3. When you wake up, drink orange juice or a sports drink instead of coffee.
4. Take a long shower.
5. Try Alka Seltzer Morning Relief.
6. Take a walk (not too far; not too fast)
