In Bai Ling's new film Dim Sum Funeral, she portrays Dede, a lesbian, who schemes with her partner Meimei Xia (Steph Song) to have a baby by hunting for sperm from a Buddhist monk.
If the eccentric Ling's latest character doesn't pique audience interests, the recent news that the actress plans to release a "very erotic, very intimate" book called "Nipples" will surely attract more attention. The actress explains that the tome is her view of how she sees the world.
The 42-year-old actress also said that the book is about her "perspective - very erotic, very intimate."
"I share a lot of relationships that I had with different gentlemen - very intimate, very advanced, very crazy and very bold in a modern way. I wrote it in 40 days without even thinking; the book is there and I'm just here to reveal it."
No stranger to controversy, Ling posed for Playboy magazine and becoming the first woman from the People's Republic of China on the magazine's cover. She later made headlines by having her scenes removed from Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith and has since developed a cult following in B-movies, recently appearing in the action film Crank: High Voltage alongside Jason Statham and Amy Smart.
