According to MovieTickets.com, as of today, there are now over 350 sold out performances for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, including 115 midnight performances around the country.
Additionally, the film accounts for 41 percent of tickets sold at MovieTickets.com this week.
The film is based on Hasbro's line of giant robot toys that morph into cars, trucks, planes, ships and other technological creations that also spawned a 1980's TV cartoon series.
Director Michael Bay wanted to give Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a bigger budget for a global scale and better characterization for a larger cast of robots.
