Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato Macaroni Salad – A twist on the classic BLT Sandwich! Use spiral pasta to hold more Italian dressing, add crisp bacon, romaine lettuce and vine-ripened tomatoes. Great for lunch, brunch or supper!
Bacon Lettuce & Tomato Pasta Salad Recipe
1 pound box dry pasta (spirals, farfalle or bow ties, medium shells, etc)
1/2 pound bacon
1 head romaine lettuce, chopped small
4 medium Roma tomatoes, chopped
1/2 - 3/4 cup Creamy Italian Salad Dressing, regular, lite or zesty
1 teaspoon Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning, or salt & pepper, more or less to taste
How To Make a BLT Salad
Cook pasta according to directions on box. Drain and chill until ready to assemble salad.
Cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels. Crumble when cool.
Combine cooked pasta, lettuce, tomatoes and crumbled bacon in a large serving bowl.
Fold in salad dressing just enough to moisten all the ingredients. Start out with 1/2 cup. If you'd like more, add the remaining 1/4 cup.
Season to taste.
Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to use.
