Memorial Day & the 4th of July are two of my favorite dessert holidays. Just think of all the fresh fruit possibilities. Here are some of my absolute must-have red, white and blue recipes, with a few newly discovered holiday treats from the Blogosphere. Enjoy!

Red, White & Blue Fruit Salad - Probably the easiest salad recipe of all, make this red, white & blue fruit salad with equal amounts of sliced strawberries, bananas and pineapple, and lightly sugared blueberries in honor of our red, white and blue USA flag! Just toss with shredded coconut and eat!

Fresh Strawberry Tart - A Dorie Greenspan dessert from, Baking: From My Home To Yours, this strawberry tart is made with a sweet shortbread crust, filled with strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and blueberries. Top it all off with fresh whipped cream, or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Strawberry & Blueberry Shortcake Recipe - Take the traditional Strawberry Shortcake recipe, split some homemade Buttermilk Biscuits in half, sprinkle with fresh blueberries, and add plenty of whipped cream to these delightful berry shortcakes!
