Newport Vineyards - "A Taste of Spring" wine tasting - Saturday, April 4, 2009. Go taste their new wines, have some cheese & chocolate with local purveyors, and toast a new wine season!
"A Taste of Spring" Wine Tasting
Newport Vineyards is having their yearly spring wine tasting on Saturday, April 4th, from 11am - 5pm. The price is $10.00/person, Case Club Members Complimentary. Admission includes a logo wineglass.

We've been going so long that I have a few boxes of Newport Vineyards wine glasses on hand to cater a good size party! And of course we're Case Club Members, which means we not only get our 20% off per case, but an additional 5%, for a total of 25% off any case - mix-or-match! Great news for us, since we eventually drink it all. I can't wait to taste their long-awaited 2008 Riesling. Each year they seem to get better!
Local Rhode Island Food Purveyors
All our old favorites will be there including Narragansett Creamery (remember that Adult Macaroni & Cheese recipe I shared?), Amy's Apples (their chocolate covered apples are to-die-for), Cabot Cheese and Fior D'Italia (from our old home in Vermont), and Wicked Good food (they make the best Eggplant Caponata I've ever eaten out of a jar!). Many more vendors will be scattered thoughout the winery - in the barrel rooms, tasting room, packaging room and wherever else they can find room.
Hopefully the day will be sunny for a picnic lunch and a stroll through the vineyard. See you there!
