Peanut Butter Torte

There's no doubt about it. Food blogs have taken the internet by storm the last few years. Tens of thousands of new bloggers have  opened up accounts with Wordpress, Blogger and TypePad since 2004. Do a Google search for "food blogs". More than 81 million results come up. Tell me that's not an epidemic!

Where do all these food blogs come from? Most of these blogs are very professional and have gorgeous photos dripping from their pages.  Some are small "Mommy-Hobby" homespun blogs, dabbling in cookies for the kids and Rice Krispie squares. Falling somewhere in between are thousands more, flooding your screen with sinfully rich food that will make you slobber all over your keyboard. Cheesecakes, peanut butter cakes, prime rib, sushi, and let's not forget the obsession with Bento boxes, Nutella and cupcakes! More blogs are being added daily as obsessed foodies try their hand at fusing gourmet food with stunning photography.

So, where does little Rhody fit into the BIG scheme of things? Just because we're the smallest state in the union, doesn't mean we don't have a huge number of active food blogs. The list below is just scratching the surface. I urge you to peek through their pages and see what they're cooking, baking, grillingand dishing up. Chances are, you'll find something to tempt you with dinner plans tonight! At the very least, you'll be up like me until 2:00am drooling!
