Family and work life flies by at a dizzying pace, which hardly leaves time to cook dinner some days.  But eating out can get expensive.  Addie Rising with About.com compiled a listing of family-friendly restaurants in Charlotte where your kids can eat free or at a reduced price every day of the week.  If you're looking to save some money tonight and let someone else do the cooking, click here.

If you like homestyle diner food, a good pick is Charlotte Cafe in Park Road Shopping Center, a place my family frequents from time to time.  Kids 2 and under can get free mac & cheese and veggies any day of the week.

Have a craving for a steak?  Go to Texas Roadhouse on Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m., and your kids eat free.  Their rolls are to die for, and they don't care if your kids throw peanuts on the floor.
