This city is full of surprises. Last year, the city was shutting down the paragon of publishing events in the Printers' Ball. Now it's stealing a page from the invaluable success of the indie-driven giveaway-gathering. The city is unveiling its Chicago Publishers Gallery this weekend and it sounds like it will be a permanent display. This unique collection of over 1,500 books, journals, and zines by Chicago writers will be housed where?

LAST WEEK'S TRIVIA:

Congratulations to Julia Booshwayz who answered the following question correctly:

"This month, in lieu of its regular monthly night, what reading series will be hosting two excellent events, one featuring a Chicago-native and the other featuring a Scotsman?"

Madame Booshwayz wrote: "I know this reading series! It's the Windy City Story Slam--John McNally and Irvine Welsh."

Don't forget--McNally reads at Chinaski's Friday night as part of a special Windy City Story Slam.

Jenny Seay answered correctly as well, though she was disqualified because she'll be hosting McNally at her Tamale Hut Reading Series in Riverside on Saturday.  This city is full of surprises.
