The "blue and gigantic" eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg are the focus of this week's trivia, which is a two-parter. What classic "Great American" novel is he featured in and what is he selling?

LAST WEEK'S TRIVIA:

The question:

This famed short story writer whose poignant-comic social satire has been compared to Vonnegut will help produce the first play adaptation of his work in his hometown of Chicago in upcoming weeks. Being compared with Vonnegut puts him in the literary elite but even more rare were his appearances on Letterman and The Colbert Report last year to plug his collection of essays. Who is he?

The answer:

"George Saunders!" wrote in Pete Anderson, of petelit.com. Congrats, Pete, that's two out of the last three weeks. Cick on the Saunders link for his interview with Examiner.

For more info: Saunders' play "Jon" opens tonight.
