I was fantasizing about those green chilies again so I thought I would continue my short list of what else to enjoy eating while in Santa Fe. So here's your easy guide:
1) Buy a "ristra:" these long strands of chili peppers are on a sale everywhere, serve as great décor and can be used to spice up your dishes.
2) Take a BBQ train. What an incredibly fun idea. When can we bring that to SF? Although my South Carolina writer friend thinks the BBQ isn't much to write home about in his adopted town, it's a great concept.
3) Hightail it a touch out of town and indulge in fabulous plates of meat at the Bishop's Lodge. The space is charming.
4) Take in the gorgeous lobby of La Fonda or have a drink in its Terrace Room overlooking the Plaza.
5) Try a flight of wines at the St. Francis that encompass, according to the hotel's mixologist, the Franciscans journey to New Mexico. It includes a mix of Italian, Spanish, Chilean, Argentina and New Mexican sparkling for $18.50.
Cheers,
