Yellow is the "it" color of summer 2009, and carrying a sunshine-colored leather handbag is a great way to rock this trend. Fashion-forward celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna have been spotted recently with yellow bags, and the color was popular this season in designer collections such as Botkier, Rebecca Minkoff and Kooba.

The popular Botkier Trigger Satchel in yellow is a modern classic. Its basic shape is contradicted by diagonal zippers and tassel details, adding a touch of motorcycle edge. The bag is on sale at Luna Boston from $610 to $420. Shop online at lunaboston.com or visit the store at 205 Newbury St in Boston.

The Kate Spade Preston Hollow Maria clutch is perfect for summer weddings or semi-casual dinner dates. Buy online at katespade.com or at the Kate Spade store at 117 Newbury St in Boston for $161, on sale from $215.

The Tory Burch Kerry Resin Clutch is another stylish option for adding a splash of color to a basic look. Originally $335, you can snag it for 30 percent off at Moxie's spring/summer sale. Moxie is located at 51 Charles St in Boston.

The Beirn Jenna bag in yellow is the perfect size to carry all your summer essentials while keeping you looking chic. Originally $325, the bag is on sale at Bluefly.com for $195.

Anna's Tip: Are these sale prices still out of your budget range? Hit up discount stores like TJ Maxx or Marshalls for a great selection of top designer and brand-name handbags for under $100. Go to marshallsonline.com or tjmaxx.com for locations.
