Saturday night, the New England Revolution lost 3-1 to the Kansas City Wizards at CommunityAmerica Ball Park.

Davy Arnoud struck first for the Wizards in the 19th minute after a quick wall pass in front of the net to Claudio Lopez

Shalrie Joseph headed in the equalizer in the 28th minute off a set piece for his fifth goal of the season and the Revolution's best play of the night. Steve Ralston curled the ball from the corner to Jay Heaps whose header was batted out by goalkeeper Kevin Hartman, then Ralston collected the ball again and directed it to Joseph on the far post who tucked it away.

Osei ejected for altercation with Lopez

Central defender Emmanual Osei weakened the Revolution's chances after he was punished with a red card in the 31st minute after kicking out at Lopez after the Kansas City midfielder pulled him to the ground by his arm. Lopez received a yellow card.

New England struggled to contain the surging Kansas City attack. Jeff Larentowcz offered up an own goal from a blast from Hercules Gomez after Matt Reis surged out of the net and parried it. Aaron Hohlbein put the nail in the coffin with a third goal off a Jimmy Conrad assist in the 39th minute.

With the loss New England fell to sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
