The Washington Times reported that 16.1 million in stimulus funds will go to save the San Francisco Bay Area habitat of the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.

The mouse has been an accurate representation of the massive wasteful spending of the so-called ‘stimulus’ package.

Republicans are calling this an ‘invisible earmark’ of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose district touches the Bay.

After the Obama administration announced last week the funds would be distributed to the area, House Minority Leader John Boehner said, “Lo and behold, the government has announced that the mouse is getting its money after all. Speaker Pelosi must be so proud.”
