Dam breaks: George Will lampooned by Post cartoonist
The Post's Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist has now poked fun at George Will's column, as well as his attack on compact flourescent lightbulbs.
For those keeping score, that makes four Washington Post employees who have stood up for standards to extend to the Op-Ed page as well:
- Andrew Freedman of Capitol Weather Gang did a blog post entitled "Will Misleads Readers on Climate Science — Again."
- Reporters Juliet Eilperin and Mary Beth Sheridan write an article, "New Data Show Rapid Arctic Ice Decline: Proportion of Thicker, More Persistent Winter Cover Is the Lowest on Record" which calls Will out by name.
- Fellow columnist Eugene Robinson has said on The Rachel Maddow Show that Will crossed the line.
- Now, Will is lampooned by his paper's own editorial cartoonist.
The rest of the Post is looking better and better, as Hiatt and Will look worse and worse.
