#3 The Rough Guide to Climate Change by Robert Henson, 2008 (2nd ed)
This is frankly the first book on climate change that I have purchased. While many of the other books in my library have a chapter or two about the topic, The Rough Guide to Climate Change has become my go-to guide on the topic. Henson does a good job of writing a clear and concise picture of the current state of the science, without the hype and histrionics that is prevalent in other books. It is up-to-date (i.e.., post 2007 IPCC report) and could easily be adopted as a textbook on the topic. It is also a deal at just $16.99!#2 Extreme Weather by Chris Burt, 2007
#1 Storm by George R. Stewart, 1941
