The sunny and seasonal weather of the past few days will give way to even more sun and even warmer days through the coming weekend. At the same time the San Francisco Bay Area is undergoing pleasant spring days the Rockies are getting heavy snow, Texas and the Gulf coast are getting hammered by severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes and rain blankets most the Atlantic Coast states.
High pressure over the Eastern Pacific Ocean will gradually nose its way into the Pacific Northwest. This will in turn push winds around from a mild seabreeze to warm dry offshore winds. The near normal temperatures of the past days will warm to about 5 degrees above normal by Saturday and remain warm under sunny skies into next week.
Extended range forecast charts show at least a week’s worth of fair and spring-like weather on tap for the Bay Area and California.
